Eine Gruppe israelischer Jugendlicher ist auf Klassenreise in Polen, um Gedenkstätten und ehemalige KZs zu besuchen. Der Großvater eines Schülers, Überlebender der Shoah, ist mit dabei und erzählt seine berührende Geschichte. Abgesehen von der Konfrontation mit dem Schrecken und der Vernichtung - und den äußerst unterschiedlichen Arten, damit umzugehen - geht es in dem Roadmovie auch um die Gruppendynamik, die unter den Teenagern herrscht: um vertrackte Gefühle, Liebeswirren, Feierlaune, Nachdenklichkeit, Sehnsüchte und natürlich um Betroffenheit und das Verarbeiten der Ereignisse. Eindrucksvolle Erinnerungsarbeit aus der Perspektive junger Israelis, die an authentischen Orten und mit einem Zeitzeugen besonders intensiv möglich ist.

The grandfather of a student, a survivor of the Shoah, is there and tells his touching story. Aside from the confrontation with the horror and destruction - and the extremely different ways of dealing with it - the road movie is also about the group dynamics that prevail among the teenagers: complicated feelings, the confusion of love, a party mood, thoughtfulness, longings and, of course, concern and processing the impressions. Impressive remembrance work from the perspective of young Israelis, which is particularly intensive in authentic places and with a contemporary witness.
